Just when you thought Occupiers Couldn’t Get More Appalling

Another jaw-dropping “imagine-the-excrement-storm-if-the-Tea-Party-had-done-it” moment on the part of Occupy San Diego via Verum Serum:

Occupy San Diego Has A Moment of Solidarity for the White House Shooter…Wait, What?

I might understand if this was a religious group as it’s not uncommon to offer prayers for both victim and perpetrator because of that pesky old “love thy enemies” thing, but solidarity?

Sol-i-dar-i-ty: noun; Unity or agreement of feeling or action, esp. among individuals with a common interest; mutual support within a group.

Maryland Senate Candidate Testifies as Lead Investigator–Serial Fraudster Convicted

This is probably a first–a candidate for U.S. Senate taking the stand during a fraud trial as lead investigator and not as defendant.

Former Secret Service agent turned Maryland Senate candidate Dan Bongino took the stand to testify as one of the lead investigators in this case. He says, “I don’t know if he (Williams) believes he did anything wrong but it doesn’t matter what he believes, what matters is people lost a whole lot of money, were taken advantage of. Now justice is done.”

Justice was served, in part thanks to Bongino, who he spent six months interviewing dozens of victims and making undercover calls to piece together a huge scheme run by Williams. Bongino explains, “He was good at what he did and the volume of victims was just extraordinary and the fact he made these people believe this was a legitimate operation.”

The operation, according to prosecutors, was a rent-to-own con game put together by Williams and operated day-to-day by co-conspirator Erica Brown of Laurel, who was convicted of wire and mail fraud.

As I’ve said before, having experience investigating and convicting fraudsters should be a great help to Dan Bongino when he is elected to the U.S. Senate.

Updated: Help Victims of Thug Tactics in Maryland Senate Race

At the Maryland Republican convention this week in Annapolis, campaign workers for U.S. Senate candidate Dan Bongino had their tires slashed and it seems pretty clear that it wasn’t a random act. Their cars were specifically targeted, presumably for political reasons.

Bongino workers’ cars vandalized

Tires wеrе slashed οn two vehicles belonging tο the workers, a campaign spokeswoman ѕаіd. Thе cars wеrе nοt parked near each аnd nο οthеr vehicles аt the convention hаd dаmаgе”

Being a Republican campaign worker in a blue state like Maryland can be a pretty thankless job without needing to repair damage caused by corrupt political opponents so I’m asking my blogosphere friends to help them out so they can continue working to elect Dan Bongino without added financial hardship.

From what I have heard from Dan repairs will cost around $300 each for 3 campaign staffers, so I set the goal of the donation widget at $1000. If we raise that it’ll go to paying for the damage and anything left over I will give to the Bongino campaign.

This effort is unofficial and not affiliated with the Bongino campaign. I just know that the community of conservative bloggers and tweeters are generous and there is strength in numbers. Please help out with a small donation using the widget in the sidebar or by linking or tweeting. Thanks.
