Spotted this status from a Facebook friend this week.
Because under the Obamacare law, the health insurance that my husband’s company provides is considered “an excess benefit with respect to the coverage (of Obamacare), there is hereby imposed a tax equal to 40 percent of the excess benefit.”
So, ***’s company can keep the healthcare plan offered to employees and pay a 40% tax or lower the health benfits to its employees.
Guess which plan the company had to choose? Yes, we will have less health coverage due to Obamacare.
It precipitated a few “me too” comments.
